How Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban will split their $70m property empire

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s divorce settlement – which includes their $70 million global property empire – has been finalized, ending nearly 20 years of marriage.
Homes across Australia and the US make up around 25 per cent of a divorced couple’s total wealth.
Court documents reportedly confirm that the exes have agreed that all assets – including investments, bank accounts, furniture, appliances, cars, and personal belongings – will be divided as they agree.
And each will keep what they already have, Page Six reports.
The two also agreed to waive all child and spousal support rights. According to their agreement, Kidman will keep their daughters – Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15 – for 306 days of the year.
Meanwhile, Urban was assigned 59 days, or “every other weekend.”
Urban and Kidman also agreed that neither will pay child support as both have a reported monthly income “in excess of $US100,000 ($A150,000).”
All requests for alimony and spousal support have been granted, according to the filing. Each parent is responsible for their own legal fees and costs.
It is not clear if they had a prenuptial agreement. The pair announced their separation in October due to “irreconcilable differences”.

Kidman and Urban built a multi-million dollar property portfolio before their relationship turned sour.
The two, who married in 2006, spent more than $70 million.
The pair, who are worth a staggering $282 million, have acquired a global property portfolio in Australia and around the world.
Here are the properties we know about:

Milsons Point
Although based in the country music capital of the United States Nashville, Kidman and her husband Keith Urban are now looking for a dozen houses in Harborside Milsons Point, bringing her total for one property to more than $27.5 million.
In 2023, the celebrity couple bought a three-bedroom apartment on level 15 of the landmark Latitude building on Sydney’s north side for $7.725 million.

The Kurbans first bought into Latitude in 2009, picking up a bedroom for $6m.
They then continued their struggle paying $2.68m for the unit down the block. Three more apartments followed, for $7m, $2.78m and last year they paid $1.35m for a one-bed fourth floor unit, believed to be used as a private gym.
The building began life as a commercial building in the 1970s but was redeveloped in 2005 by Mirvac to house 120 residential units. The block also has a swimming pool, spa, sauna, and gym for people to use. Clark Park and Wendy Whiteley’s Secret Garden are next door.
There are no other units for sale at Latitude right now, but you can rent a one-bedroom unit on the fourth floor for $750 per week through Di Jones Lower North Shore.

The Southern Highlands
The A-list duo acquired a large farm called Bunya Hill in Sutton Forest, New South Wales, paying $6.5 million.
The property includes a rustic Georgian mansion built in 1878 with a swimming pool, library, and guest cabin.

When the couple is not working, they are able to enjoy their peaceful environment. In a 2018 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the Undoing star revealed, “Obviously I work hard, but when I’m gone, I’m gone.
“Keith and I are doing very well at clicking fast because we have a really good life in Nashville that is very simple, quiet, and healthy because we did it that way.”
Soon after acquiring the property, Kidman and Urban installed an 18m swimming pool, a new gym, a full-size tennis court and 250m grass dunes around the perimeter to keep out the pesky paparazzi.
With views of rolling hills, manicured lawns and gardens it’s not hard to see why this large property is making the top homes in NSW in 2023.

Darling Point
When she was married to Tom Cruise, Kidman owned a three-storey, eight-bedroom house in Darling Point on a 1068sq m Harborside property.
He sold the Yarranabba Rd home in 2009 for “around” $13.2 million after it was listed in 2008 for $20 million.
Cruise and Kidman paid $4.2 million in 1995 for one part of the villa, and three years later spent another $4.75 million to own the entire property.

Rosedale
It seemed like a good idea at the time, but Kidman’s dream beach house on the NSW South Coast never materialized.
He had intended to build a $2.5 million compound on a pile on the beach, but was put off by the lack of privacy.
In 2009, he is said to have called the local police to ask for an escort after being harassed by the paparazzi while driving in the Rosedale area.
A plot of land measuring over 1000sq m with 21 meters of waterfront south of Batemans Bay was acquired for $4 million in 2004.
He sold at a loss after loading two lots for $3 million in 2011 and the last parcel settled in 2013 for just $665,000 even though it was listed in 2008 for $1.2 million.

Tennessee Compound
In 2018, an Australian and American couple sold their country estate in Franklin, Tennessee, for $3.8 million ($5.36 million).
The pair apparently picked up the parcel 10 years ago, reportedly doing two jobs in 2007 that totaled $2.45 million ($A3.45 million) for the home, guest kitchen, and 36 acres of surrounding land.

Nashville House
In 2008, the pair reportedly snapped up a $US3.47 million ($A4.89 million) mansion in Nashville, which they called the “Queen of Northumberland.”
The spacious property has seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, a home theater and a recreation room. At the back, there is a tennis court and a large swimming pool.
Beverly Hills estate
That same year, the pair acquired a luxury suite in Beverly Hills, California, reportedly dropping $US4.7 million ($A6.77 million) for the five-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home.
The Los Angeles Times noted that the 1965-era building is “in a gated community that’s home to some celebrities.”

New York
Kidman and Urban bought the designer’s duplex in cool Chelsea in 2010 for more than $US9.6 million ($A13.53 million).
Bought off-plan, the townhouse is in the much-talked-about stainless steel tower at 200 Eleventh Ave, famous for its “sky garage” and celebrity residents such as former Goldman Sachs tycoon Robert J Hurst who paid $US14 million ($A19.74 million) for the penthouse.
Along with a car elevator that allows for ultimate privacy, the couple’s Manhattan home features views of the Hudson River, three bedrooms, two balconies and a master double bedroom.
