Crypto expert John Squire added that AWS had previously shown interest in XRP for payments. AWS also described RippleNet as a network of banks and payment providers that enables it real time messagingclearing, and payment of financial transactions. According to the cloud computing platform, the payment company connects banks, digital asset exchanges, and companies through RippleNet to facilitate international money transfers.
AWS also revealed several use cases for RippleNet, including invoicing, real-time money consolidation, global currency accounts, international P2P payments, real-time remittances, and more. The cloud computing network revealed that Ripple has partnered with more than 100 financial institutions. Many of these organizations are based in different regions outside the US.
