Photos obtained by the New York Post, showing the front door of the missing 84-year-old man’s home before and after the white tent was erected, show that a bracket attached to the door frame was removed while the building was standing.

It is thought that the bracket was previously in possession of a Nest security camera that captured a masked, armed robber approaching the property in the early hours of Feb. 1, on the same day Nancy is believed to have been taken from her home.

Earlier, the authorities revealed that they do not know where the camera that appears to have been taken out by the suspects who kidnapped Nancy is.

Footage from the camera was later obtained by the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, and shared publicly by FBI Director Patel on his X account.

Three video clips show a man wearing a ski mask and thick gloves approaching the door of his house with a gun on his hip.

Authorities had previously said they were unable to retrieve any footage from the Nest camera that had been taken at the entrance to Nancy’s property because she did not have a subscription to allow the video to be stored.

However, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department revealed in a statement released Tuesday that the video was ultimately “found from residual data available on background systems.”

“Over the past eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to locate any photos or videos taken from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, damaged, or inaccessible due to various factors, including the removal of recording equipment,” the statement read.

“The video was obtained from residual data found in background systems. Working with our partners—as of this morning—law enforcement has released these new, previously inaccessible images that show an armed man appearing to tamper with a camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door on the morning of her disappearance.”

On Thursday, the FBI released new information about a masked, armed robber caught on security camera—while announcing that it had increased its reward for information leading to his safe return to $100,000.

In a post shared on the FBI Phoenix X account, the agency highlighted “identifying information” about the person in the infamous photo.

“New information identifying the suspect in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie has been confirmed after an investigation by the FBI’s Operational Technology Division,” the report said.

“The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’9″ – 5’10” tall, with a medium build. In the video, he is wearing a black, 25-liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack.”

Minutes ago, it was reported that the FBI was “actively investigating” a video of a man who was caught carrying a backpack near Nancy’s home the night she disappeared, but it has since been revealed that he has been removed from the investigation.

Authorities have now asked all residents living within two miles of Nancy’s $1 million home to turn over any available video taken in the two days before her disappearance — including one day more than two weeks before she was taken from her Arizona home.

Investigators are asking residents in the Catalina Foothills area to submit any photos and all surveillance footage taken by in-door cameras between the hours of 9 p.m. and midnight on Jan. 11, and videos from 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Jan. 31, the morning before the 84-year-old man disappeared.

Additionally, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department requested that residents with any video footage taken between Jan. 1 and Feb. 2 that includes “vehicles, vehicle traffic, people/pedestrians, and anything neighbors find unusual or relevant to our investigation” provided those videos.

A webpage has been set up where neighbors can upload their videos—while the sheriff’s department said it will use the Neighbors App to relay updates to anyone living within two miles of Nancy’s home.

Another man who lives on the corner of Nancy also said that he was asked by the detectives if he had seen the truck in the area.

Although investigators have not disclosed why they are requesting the information,David Romanohe told NBC News that detectives asked his family about the car twice.

At the time, the Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos He has responded to reports that he is accused of withholding important evidence from the FBI involved in the investigation.

On Thursday evening, Reuters published a report, citing unnamed legal sources, in which Nanos was said to have insisted that the evidence found inside Nancy’s house and when the surrounding area was searched was analyzed at a private lab in Florida, not at the FBI’s national crime lab in Quantico, VA.

Speaking to local news network KVOA, Nanos said there was no truth to any claims of a rift between his department and the FBI.

“It’s not even close to the truth,” he said. “Actually, the FBI wanted to send one or two [pieces of evidence] they found the scene, very close to it—a mile, a mile and a half … I said ‘No, why did you do that? Let’s send them all to where all the DNA, all the profiles and characteristics are.’ They agree, it makes sense.”

When asked about the gloves found at and around the crime scene—including one on the side of the road a mile and a half from Nancy’s home—Nanos said there were “too many” items, but downplayed their importance to the investigation.

“We don’t even know the real value of these gloves,” he said.
