EXCLUSIVE: Daytona Legend Hurley Haywood Puts His Florida Home on the Market for $5.2 Million

The three-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath home covers 4,180 square feet and—perhaps surprisingly—comes complete with a large three-car garage.
Haywood’s home, listed Jane Chefan again Jessica Chefan Hansen and One Sotheby’s International Realty, was designed for “everyday comfort and fine dining,” according to its description.
“Located among St. Augustine’s most desirable waterfront locations and designed by renowned Cronk Duch Architects, this home offers refined coastal living within walking distance of historic downtown St. Augustine,” a press release shared with Realtor.com revealed.

Before entering the property, visitors are greeted with a coastal facade accented with blue and white panels.
Upon entering, guests are greeted by ornate white walls, high interior ceilings and elegant wooden staircases.
The listing notes that the home “offers refined beach living with uncompromising quality, privacy, and craftsmanship throughout.”
Adjacent to the foyer is the living area, with a cozy fireplace, dark wood floors, and dark French doors that allow natural light to flood in.
The kitchen is certainly one of the most luxurious areas of the home.
A press release reveals, “Find a chef’s kitchen with high-end appliances and an open-concept layout that flows freely for family and dining. A sophisticated wet bar is equipped with custom-built cabinetry and a 140-bottle Sub-Zero wine cooler.
“Rich architectural details include Carlisle wide-plank heart-of-pine flooring throughout, custom built-ins, custom lighting, and a dedicated home theater with updated equipment.”

Going upstairs, there is a large main house with enough room for a king size bed. There are also many large windows in the bedrooms.
The master bathroom is the epitome of elegance as it boasts marble countertops, a large soaking tub, and a glass enclosed shower.
There is also an office area with dark wood furniture such as desk and cabinet.
“Luxury amenities continue with a sauna, a Sonos sound system for the whole home, a residential elevator, a central entry system, and a built-in safe.
“The property includes two separate casitas with private access, perfect for guests, extended family, or flexible use as a home office or studio,” the press release notes.
While the interior of the residence is luxurious, the exterior is somewhat over the top with “a saltwater hot tub with upgraded amenities, a simple cabana shower, and a gas fireplace – all set in a peaceful backyard.”
For outdoor adventurers, there is also a new dock with concrete piers, boat and jet ski lifts, and a vinyl bulkhead located on the 75 x 160 lot on the east side.

The listing adds, “Built for durability and peace of mind, the home features concrete block construction, cement roof, metal roof, storm windows, foam insulation, two new AC units, and a 26 kW generator backed by a 500 gallon fuel tank.”
“The large garage offers ample space for vehicles and plenty of custom cabinetry storage. This rare oceanfront property combines timeless architectural design, modern conveniences, and unique construction in one of St. Augustine’s most desirable, tourist destinations.”
