Anthony Davis’ $40 Million Bel Air Palace Is On The Market—As Dallas Mavericks Prepare To ‘Trade Him To Washington Wizards’

I Dallas Mavericks they are reportedly preparing to trade the 10-time NBA All-Star Anthony Davis of Washington Wizardsjust one year after picking up power in the Los Angeles Lakers in return Luka Dončić.
According to a post shared by an ESPN “insider” Adam SchefterThe Mavericks agreed to trade Davis, 32, to the Wizards and Jaden Hardy, D’Angelo Russell again Dante Exumin exchange for “Chris Middleton, AJ Johnson, Malachi Branham, Marvin Bagley III2 first round picks and 3 second round picks.”
Davis has only been with the Mavericks for a few months, after being traded to Dončić’s team in a controversial deal in February 2025. Before that, the NBA star had been with the Lakers for six years—and had long settled down as a California resident.
However, six months after moving to Dallas, Davis made the decision to cut ties with his home in Los Angeles, listing an amazing property at a high price of $39.9 million.
Located in Bel Air, the residence is described in its listing as a “trophy estate,” spanning more than 3.5 acres of land, topped by a 17,200-square-foot mansion with eight bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms.

Now questions may arise as to whether Davis will continue to sell the mansion, or perhaps take it off the market while he tries to cross the country.
It is unclear whether Davis and his wife, Marlenehave invested in the Lone Star State since February 2025, yet records do not show any Dallas-area homes registered in their names.
Davis may have chosen to spend at least his first season living in an upscale rental property in the area, along with his wife and their three children: a daughter Nala and two sons, whose names he has never mentioned publicly.
The basketball pro is no stranger to making luxury real estate purchases, however, owning at least two luxury homes in LA during his six years with the Lakers.
Before taking over his huge Bel Air property, the NBA pro sold the Westlake Village residence for the lowest price of $6.6 million, having owned it for three years. It is reported that he bought that place where he still plays for the team New Orleans Pelicans.
However, after joining the Lakers and committing to life in California, the Chicago native opted to find an impressive residence for himself and his family—which happened to be in a prime location in the form of his Bel Air estate, which he bought in an off-market deal.
The accommodation seems fit for sports royalty, complete with an impressive array of amenities perfect for anyone with a passion for fitness.
Among the most impressive features found in and around the house are an outdoor tennis court with stadium-level lighting, allowing residents to enjoy the facility at all hours of the day—as well as a batting cage, an Olympic-size swimming pool and a gym with a massage room.
Interestingly, however, the list does not mention the presence of a basketball court in this area.

Still, there’s plenty of evidence of the current owner’s athletic prowess, including an array of sports equipment covering the walls of the lounge and bar, featuring a large wet bar, and a white and blue pool table.
A signed Team USA basketball jersey bearing Davis’ number—14—is seen hanging in a frame on the wall.
Davis also owns the jerseys of several other great players, including The Memphis Grizzlies star Yes Morantas well as Julius Randle of Minnesota Timberwolvesonce Milwaukee Bucks‘ Giannis Antetokounmpo.
A worn NFL jersey New Orleans Saints player Cameron Jordan it is also hung on the wall.
The game room also has an impressive wine storage area in the front filled with different bottles stored on one wall.
The second floor is home to the “epic primary suite,” with a magnificent en suite bathroom, fireplace, two walk-in closets, and stunning views of the surrounding area.
A further five en-suite bedrooms can be found on that level, while the lower level of the home is where guests will find most of the entertainment facilities, as well as a hair salon and barber shop.
Outside, the fun continues with a custom-designed children’s playhouse with its own HVAC system, as well as multiple pool cabanas, an outdoor chef’s kitchen, a vegetable garden, and an outdoor wellness center with a cold room and sauna.
News of Davis’ trade to the Wizards sent shockwaves through the NBA, with many pundits and experts describing it as a “shocking” deal.
According to ESPN, Davis is currently sidelined with ligament damage in his left hand, which is expected to keep him out for at least a few weeks – and now it appears that if he does finally return, it will be with a completely different team.
