Sam Armytage lists Hyams Beach cottage

Maybe fellow Hyams Beach owner Darren Palmer, a judge on The Block, was telling Sam Armytage that now is a good time to list his Hyams Beach house? They were photographed together at the Australian Open. Photo: Instagram
Golden Bachelor presenter Samantha Armytage has redecorated her whitewashed Hyams beach house with agent Bradley Cocks, husband of designer Collette Dinnigan.
The three-bedroom cottage at 29 Cyrus St fronting Jervis Bay appeared on realestate.com.au on Friday with a guide of $2.95m-$3.1m in an interest campaign through Cocks, who now operates out of Drew Lindsay Sotheby’s International Realty office in Bowral.
Roosters are contacted to comment.
Armytage, 49, bought the cottage – on 658sqm and with water views from its upstairs balcony – for $1,765,000 in 2018, then renovated it with a new roof.
The former Sunrise host who left Channel 7 to host Channel 9’s dating show had previously listed his Hyams Beach cottage in 2023 with a guide of $3.2m with another agent.

But at the time there was little interest and she disappeared from real estate sites in December 2024 following her split from her husband of four years Richard Lavender.
Its re-emergence with a more attractive guide a year later comes at a time when there are few properties for sale in the popular area, so it may find a buyer.
She was photographed at the Australian Open recently with The Block judge Darren Palmer, who owns a Hyams Beach property with her husband Olivier Duvillard, which was bought in 2014 for $850k.

Armytage told Sky News in December that he felt “strong, healthy, happy” and was in a “really good time” in his life.
The report revealed that fans were outraged by her “gorgeous” look on Instagram and said she was focusing on her health after hip surgery.

A recent listing advises: “Situated on the tightly held Cyrus Street, 29 Cyrus Street, Hyams Beach offers a rare opportunity to secure a true beachfront property in one of NSW’s most sought-after coastal areas.”
It says “the well-received three-bedroom, two-bathroom home captures sweeping, unbeatable views of the pristine waters of Jervis Bay”.
The master bedroom also has views over the bay.
There is an inviting kitchen, dual living areas, and a “sun-kissed front deck perfect for morning coffee or sunset drinks overlooking the water”.
“The elevated position and forward building line enhance both the view and privacy,” the listing says.
There is a lock-up garage and off-street parking for up to three cars.
Armytage also owns a house in Rushcutters Bay, bought as an investment for $1.5m in August, 2021.
The Hyams Beach cottage was decorated with comfy white sofas, cane chairs and a black sign pointing to the beach.
It was a popular vacation attracting $1200 per night.
