Legendary actor Robert Duvall has died at the age of 95 at his longtime home in Virginia

Academy Award winning actor Robert Duvall He died in his longtime Virginia home at the age of 95.

The famous Hollywood A-lister died at his home in Fauquier County, VA, on February 15, according to a statement made by his wife. Luciana Duvall.

Luciana, who tied the knot with Duvall in 2005, revealed, “Yesterday we said goodbye to my beloved husband, my dearest friend, and one of the greatest actors of our time. Bob passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love and comfort.

“On Earth, he was an Academy Award-winning actor, director, storyteller. To me, he was simply everything. His love for his craft was matched only by his deep love for characters, great food, and holding court. In each of his many roles, Bob gave his all to his characters and the authenticity of the human spirit they represented.

“In doing so, he leaves behind something lasting and unforgettable for all of us. Thank you for the years of support you showed Bob and for giving us this time and privacy to celebrate the memories he left behind.”

Duvall’s 360-acre estate, known as Byrnley Farm, is located in The Plains.

The “Godfather” alum has owned the five-bedroom, eight-bathroom residence for more than 30 years.

The property comes complete with a three-story Georgian farmhouse, designed by his wife.

It also has a working cattle farm.

Duvall was considered an active member of the Fauquier County community.

In 2023, the actor attended a Warrenton City Council meeting, where he opposed Amazon’s proposed data center.

Duvall, then 92 years old, read in the paper as he noted that while his acclaimed acting career took him around the world, he considered Virginia his home.

“I’ve been coming back to Fauquier County, Virginia, to find relief in my appreciation for all that makes this place special,” Duvall explained, noting that preserving the community is important.

“I urge the City Council to carefully consider its important decision regarding the precedent [special-use permit] which could open the doors to misplaced data centers and power supply infrastructure needed to power the city,” he added.

Hundreds of people who attended the actor raised the alarm when he left the hall with him.

Duvall previously owned a West Hollywood residence, which spanned 1,065 square miles. However, he sold the residence in 2017 for $1.6 million.

The actor was known for his roles in “The Godfather,” “Lonesome Dove,” and “Apocalypse Now.”

In 1983, he received a best actor Oscar for his performance in the film “Tender Graces.”
