Britney Spears’ Friend Warns Pop Star Needs to ‘Get Out of Los Angeles’ After Her DUI Arrest

Britney Spears‘ former personal assistant warned that the singer needs to “get out of Los Angeles” to recover mentally after being arrested for DUI near his California home.
On March 4, a 44-year-old man was arrested in Ventura County after allegedly driving “erroneously” and speeding, police said, and suspected he had been under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
Law enforcement officials told USA Today that Spears showed “signs of impairment and submitted to a series of sobriety tests.”
Spears was arrested on March 5 around 3 a.m. and spent three hours in jail before being released, according to inmate records.
The incident is just the latest in a long line of troubling behavior displayed by the star—and has inspired Spears’ reference to a former employee, Sean Phillipto express concern for his welfare during an appearance on “Good Morning Britain.”
Phillip revealed that he texted Spears after the incident asking her if she was “alright,” adding that he then checked to make sure she felt comfortable discussing the arrest.
“I sent him a message saying: ‘Are you OK’ and he just said ‘I’m fine.'” Then I asked if I could talk about this and he said: ‘Go on,'” he said.
Phillip went on to express his admiration for Spears, noting that she shouldn’t be criticized for making a mistake — insisting that she’s a “great person,” even though she could benefit from escaping the Hollywood trap.
“He is a great person and we all make mistakes.
“The change I would like to see is for her to get out of Los Angeles. But I’ve been talking to her every week, every day. This is the Britney I knew in 2003.”
He pointed out that Spears’ behavior may have been caused by people close to him, but he did not name them.
“You have to think about who else you associate with,” he warned.
After her arrest, a spokesperson for Spears told USA Today: “This was a tragic incident that is completely inexcusable. Britney will take appropriate action and comply with the law, and hopefully this will be the first step in the long overdue change in Britney’s life.”
“I hope that he can get the help and support he needs in this difficult time. His boys will be spending time with him. His loved ones will come up with the necessary plan for him to succeed in order to live well.”
A chemical test to determine if Spears was under the influence of any substances is pending.
Following Spears’ release from custody, the mother Lynne Spears He reached out to support him, along with his sons Sean20, again Jayden19, who moved to Hawaii with her ex-husband, Kevin Federlinein 2023, according to TMZ.
Spears’ arrest comes almost a year after she fielded worried messages from fans after revealing glimpses of her incredibly dirty apartment while filming her music video for the song. The Prince the song “Kiss.”

In a clip on social media, Spears turned on the camera, with the lens instead focused on a residence inside her Thousand Oaks, CA, property, where she has lived on and off since purchasing it for $7.4 million in 2015.
Behind Spears, a large white sofa could be seen filled with all kinds of things, including several clothes, while several other things were scattered on the floor.
The uproar at her home prompted many fans to express support—and concern—for X after Spears turned off comments on the videos.
“You need to intervene this is so sad to watch,” wrote one person, as another expressed fear for the health of the singer’s pets, writing: “Poor dogs! Someone please take them away [t]here.”
It wasn’t the first time that the “Baby One More Time” singer has been inundated with worried messages from fans—he even seemed to try to reassure them when he posted his video titled Prince, writing in the caption that he was filming in his pajamas, noting that the unusual nature of his outfit was not lost on him.
“These are my pjs, but I’m wearing these boots to play with the lighting…not the best look but hey!!!” he wrote.
Spears has lived full-time in her Thousand Oaks home for several years now, returning to the area after listing the Calabasas, CA mansion she shared with her ex-husband.Sam Asghari.
The former couple bought the property for $11.8 million in June 2022, shortly after tying the knot; however, by February 2023, they had sold it for a substantial sum, and reports suggest that Spears felt that the house did not have enough privacy.

Spears and Asghari, who split in August 2023, eventually sold the property for just $10.1 million, according to records, with sources suggesting they had moved back to the pop star’s longtime home in Thousand Oaks at the time.
After the couple finalized their divorce in May 2024, Spears kept her Thousand Oaks home, along with all the assets she owned before the marriage—all of which were allegedly protected by a strict prenup, as well as her personal fortune, which at the time was worth $60 million.
The home has served as Spears’ primary residence ever since, a regular feature on her social media, which she photographs in various rooms of the property.
Luckily for the full-on Instagram poster, there’s plenty of backdrops to choose from within the massive property, which sits on a sprawling 20 acres.
The main residence at the center of the building includes more than 13,200 square feet of living space, including five bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms—though Spears may have made changes to the layout in the 10 years since he bought it.
Her house also provides her with ample privacy, a luxury that she allegedly lacks in her Calabasas neighborhood.
Set behind two private gates within the prestigious community of White Stallion Estates, the residence is surrounded by land, helping to protect the main residence from prying eyes.
The main house features a grand two-story entry, great room with 35-foot ceilings, oak-paneled library, formal living room, dining room, chef’s kitchen, and breakfast room. Upscale amenities include a 3,500-bottle wine cellar, an elevator, and a large media room.
The park-like grounds include a lighted tennis court, an infinity pool, a spa, an orchard, and a green golf course. An enclosed pool house with a full kitchen and bath is included, too.
It’s the second house Spears owns in the Thousand Oaks neighborhood of Southern California. He also bought a five-bedroom, seven-bathroom Spanish-style residence in 2012, which he sold for $7 million in 2017.
