Kyle Sandilands’ home in LA is inaccessible as radio work takes a dive

A shocked Kyle Sandilands remains in Australia despite the breakdown of his relationship with fellow broadcaster Jackie O Henderson and the dumping of their £100 million radio show on KIIS.

Sandilands has previously been known to leave Australia whenever media scrutiny around him intensified, with the radio star often choosing his LA abode as a base until things settled down at home.

He bought the Holmby Hills residence for just under $5 million years ago and it has six bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.

The Holmby Hills home lives among celebrity neighbors such as Taylor Swift, Simon Cowell, Joe Jonas, Kylie Jenner, and Jennifer Lawrence.

But the LA bolthole was denied by Sandilands while his radio career crumbled around him because of, of all things, his television commitments, industry insiders say.

Sandilands’ contract with Channel 7 as a judge on Australian Idol means he has to stay in Australia while the live shows are filmed.

“When things get stale around here, Kyle’s usual move is to hop on a plane and wait for the news to die down,” an insider told the Daily Mail.

“But Idol has locked him up. He has responsibilities, and Seven expects him to respect them.”

Sandilands’ inability to visit LA comes as KIIS FM’s parent company ARN axed The Kyle and Jackie O Show after Henderson said he could no longer work with his co-star.

ARN’s statement says Henderson will not be returning to the game and Sandilands has been suspended for misconduct. You have 14 days to rectify the situation, the statement read.

The show’s cancellation was prompted by Sandilands’ criticism of Henderson during a live broadcast at the end of February.

During the broadcast, Sandilands criticized Henderson’s penchant for astrology and said that everyone on the show thought his performance had been smooth sailing.

Henderson doesn’t know him in LA either, having lived with Sandilands elsewhere for the past 18 months.

Jackie O Henderson has left The Kyle and Jackie O Show and never returned.

The eight-bedroom mansion in Beverly Hills’ prestigious Trousdale Place was home to the Aussie radio duo’s show while they were visiting the US for the wedding of journalist Brooklyn Ross and her partner Damien Dirienzo.

American television personality and real estate agent Kendra Wilkinson revealed that the property was worth $29m at the time, making it one of the most sought-after properties in the Hollywood Hills.

The luxury mansion, which costs $80,000 (US$55,000) a month to rent, is guarded by Sandilands’ security team to ensure the safety of his family.
