Pudgy Penguins has launched its long-teased browser-based crypto game, “Pudgy World”.

In a post made on social media X on March 10, the CCO and Founder of Pudgy Penguins, known as Chefgoyardi, announced the long-awaited release of “Pudgy World”. In the post, he shared a detailed overview of the game’s design process. “We created custom world building tools using open source web technologies, giving us a lightweight editor built for speed and rapid iteration.”, he explained.
Self-expression, creative freedom and community building seem to be at the heart of the game, as Pudgy’s ethos includes creating “an intuitive experience for everyone, including people who have never played a game before”. The chef added:
Our asset pipeline allows artists to work in Maya, Cinema4D, or Blender while custom Houdini scripts automatically convert everything into a web-ready format. Freedom to create without compromise.
The game is free to play, runs in the browser without downloading, and lets players explore 12 different cities in “The Berg,” complete quests to help a penguin named Pengu find Polly, and join mini-games as customizable penguin avatars.

Early reviews from some players describe the game as “very accessible”, as it was designed to “run directly on PC without requiring a separate installation”. X user Namnin gave a detailed description of the gameplay experience, describing it as a nice, casual game, “easy to play while doing quests with friends or family”.
When you start the game, you choose your penguin. You can make basic customizations, including color, clothing, and accessories. You will travel the world with this penguin. The main setting of the game is ‘THE BERG,’ a large map with the concept of an Antarctic island. From here, you can go to various cities. Portal movement is possible. You can complete missions, level up, and get items.

An early tester on YouTube, Cagy, called Pudgy World a ‘great world’ and ‘probably one of the best games in crypto right now,’ adding that ‘there’s not a lot of crypto here’ and that it just feels like a hobby and playing simple little games with friends in a shared world.

Based on the opinions shared by users, and judging by the photos and videos they have provided, Pudgy World can be safely described as a “relaxing multiplayer game”, with a child-friendly aesthetic.
