Hilaria Baldwin Uses Instagram to Try to Find a Buyer for Alec’s Beleaguered $20 Million Hamptons Mansion: ‘Link in My Bio’

Hilaria Baldwin trying to contribute to his Instagram following to help him as well Alec Baldwin in their desperate hunt for a buyer for their $20 million Hamptons mansion—they turned to social media to share a personal promo video for the sprawling property.

The 42-year-old mother of seven and her actor partner, 67, have spent nearly four years trying to sell their 10-acre property in Amagansett, which they initially listed for a whopping $29 million in 2022.

Since then, the impressive residence has been on and off the market several times, with the Baldwins holding sway in their decision to sell. In that time, the price has been significantly reduced, with the most recent listing on December 3 asking $21 million being reduced to $19.99 million within a few weeks of being live.

But that discount doesn’t seem to be doing the trick—and the home, which Alec bought for $1.75 million in 1995, remains on the market at a lower price as of Jan. 7.

Now, Hilaria has taken it upon herself to ask her 1 million Instagram followers to help her and Alec—who also owns an apartment and house in New York City—find new owners for their “paradise.”

In a video posted to her account, Hilaria shot herself, the “Dancing With the Stars” contestant reveals her favorite features of the place, including the proximity to the beach, the privacy, the size of the parcel, and the many memories she and her family made there.

“You know how much we love the Hamptons, we’ve made some great memories in our home,” she begins the clip—before explaining that they decided to sell the property because the family is on an undisclosed “new journey.”

“We spend the summer at our lake. We go down to the beach that’s closest to where we are. The kids go camping there. … It’s an amazing, beautiful place,” he continued.

He then shared the details of their listing agent, Scott Bradley and Saunders & Associates, before urging his followers to scroll through photos of the property included in his post—while noting that a link to the listing has been added to his bio.

“Our family is embarking on a new adventure, which means we are selling our Hamptons home,” she wrote in the caption. “It’s bittersweet because we’ve made so many wonderful memories there, and we’re excited about our next chapter! Although we’re sad to leave, we know the next owners will love it as much as we did…so I wanted to share it here…it’s truly a piece of paradise.”

“Link in my bio and you can contact Scott Bradley at Saunders & Associates with any questions.”

This is not the first time that the couple has tried to use their celebrity status to help them in their quest to find a buyer; in January 2024, Alec appeared in a promotional video for the property posted on YouTube by their listing agent.

In the clip, the actor is seen walking around the local community, before discussing his hobbies and interests about the area.

The real estate agent—who was familiar with the Baldwin property—added that the home itself is likely to be viewed by many buyers as a fixer-upper because it needs a lot of updating.

But again, that ploy failed to attract anyone interested in the property—which was listed for a low price of $18.99 million at the time.

On paper, the couple’s five-bedroom residence appears to offer everything one could possibly want in a perfect Hamptons getaway, including enough space on the parcel for expansion, including the addition of a tennis court and guest house, as well as space slated for a potential horse stable.

According to the listing, plans have been drawn to expand the base residence, which would add “two more bedrooms, plus a formal dining room, sunroom and large screened-in porch.”

The property is already complete with a large eat-in kitchen, wood-paneled library, theater, and wine tasting room, as well as outdoor entertaining areas, including a pool and a pavilion with a fireplace.

However, real estate experts have previously pointed out that there may be other barriers preventing a potential buyer from coming forward.

The first, according toJenny Lenzmanaging director of Dolly Lenz Real Estate, whose property, he says, “is not considered important to most buyers.”

“While Amagansett is trendy and chic, this place is north of the highway and off the beaten path, yet it’s priced like it’s on a high street in East Hampton or Southampton,” Lenz explained in July 2024, when the home was still listed for under $19 million.

“This house is causing it to be on the market now,” he said. “Buyers in this area are looking for contemporary styles and new construction or newly renovated homes.”

Finally, there was the “ick” factor that Lenz said came from the home’s connection to celebrity couple Alec and Hilaria.

The first appearance of the home on the market in 2022 took place a few months after Alec took part in a fatal incident in October 2021 on the set of his film “Rust” where the cinematographer. Halyna Hutchins he was killed after being shot live by the gun used by the actor.

Alec was charged with involuntary manslaughter in January 2023, along with the gun.Hannah Gutierrez-Reedand while prosecutors eventually dropped all charges against him, the stigma surrounding the actor—and his home—remained, according to Lenz.

“The celebrity connection is likely to be a distraction for many consumers in this case,” said Lenz in July 2024. “Normally, a site associated with an A-list star would be a payoff. However, given the negative publicity surrounding it. [him] … [his] communicating and actively participating in home marketing is almost dangerous and clients suggest it has an ‘ick’ factor.”

Hilaria has also had her fair share of bad publicity in recent months after being revealed as one of the few celebrity contestants on the latest season of “Dancing With the Stars.”

She was the fourth contestant to be eliminated, despite consistently receiving high scores from the judges, and later said on Instagram Live that she was “bullied on the show.”

He later clarified his comments during an appearance on the “Too Much” podcast, telling the hostEmma Paige Klipsteinthat he feels that some viewers were involved in a campaign aimed at getting him off the show.

“They will vote for every couple except for me, or for X person. So that suppresses the vote of your followers,” he said, saying he had seen videos on TikTok where users encouraged others to take part in the so-called conspiracy.

“And I don’t care. I will be the person who cries in front of the world because I will show my personality. Some people will be like that and some people will make fun of me for that,” he added.
