Some buildings command attention, and this is one of them.

Perched high above East Devonport in a tightly held neighborhood, No.28 Skyline Dr is more than premium real estate, it is a testament to vision, quality and uncompromising design.

If sold, it would break its record for the suburb, which currently sits at $1.585m. And it will be among the best sales on record in all of Greater Devonport.

Agency Collins Real Estate’s senior consultant, Leigh Jordan, described the property as excellent.

He said the size and location elevate this $2.8m-plus home above average.

“It is rare to list houses on the price list,” he said. “It’s one thing.”

Mr Jordan said the home was about 65 square meters, “very big”.

“Everything about this place is so great,” he said.

“And sitting up on the hill, the view is amazing – just amazing – all the way up the river and across to Devonport.”

Mr. Jordan said the home is on the market because its owners are moving in between.

He expects its next owner will likely be someone from the mainland, returning to Tasmania, or moving here.

Completed in 2011, this three-level architect-built residence was designed by its current owners, who combined premium construction and architectural design to create a warm and lively family home.

The concrete and steel construction of the house sets it apart.

External sloping concrete walls, extensive partitions and double-glazed windows bring incredible energy and comfort all year round, while capturing sweeping views along the River Mersey, across the city skyline and out to Bass Strait.

Inside, premium craftsmanship is evident throughout.

Red iron bark from New South Wales adorns the staircase, kitchen and dining rooms, while underfloor heating in the master bedroom ensuite adds to the comfort.

There are four spacious bedrooms, and a separate study with a built-in wardrobe that could easily serve as a fifth bedroom.

A large rumpus room with a wet bar and granite benches provides additional entertainment space, complete with ceiling speakers connected to the main entertainment system, and its own private areas.

Secure electric gates and a triple garage with internal access complete the package.

No.28 Skyline Dr, East Devonport is on the market with a price of “Offers in excess of $2.8m”.
