Investors are eyeing Gold Coast mansions and a 4WD park in a heated auction show

Around 20 properties go under the hammer at Amir Prestige’s autumn auction

As global markets are rocked by the Iran conflict and volatility in the crypto space, wealthy investors are retreating to the safe haven of real estate.

A flight to bricks and mortar is gearing up for an intense auction show on the Gold Coast.

Going under the hammer is a very diverse catalog of properties, including a mega-mansion with its own private casino, a Greek-inspired beach house, and a high-octane hinterland adventure park.

Now that’s the infinity pool, a feature of the Tallai home that is up for auction

Amir Prestige acquired around 20 luxury listings across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW at its Autumn auction event on April 17, held at The Langham Hotel’s Diamond Ballroom.

But while South East Queensland continues to attract international and foreign investors, Amir Prestige principal Amir Mian said the current economic climate was fueling tough negotiations.

“I would be lying to you if I said it was the best everywhere, but whenever there is uncertainty in foreign markets, like in Dubai, crypto, or the stock market, the property market can benefit,” said Mr Mian.

“I’ve seen an increase in inquiries from Dubai, as well as Sydney and Melbourne. Some assets are volatile; bricks and mortar is always a good Australian investment option.”

Mr Mian said buyers and sellers were meeting amid realistic, but firm, expectations.

“There is a real desire to buy, but also a real enthusiasm to sell. Now is the time when sellers and buyers come to negotiations prepared for a tough fight,” he said.

Auction highlights include:

Baltimore in the Sovereign Islands has a private casino

‘Baltimore’ (46-48 Royal Albert Crescent, Sovereign Islands)

The Greek House at 241 Hedges Ave, Mermaid Beach

The ‘Greek House’ (241 Hedges Ave, Mermaid Beach)

Standing on Australia’s most coveted beach strip, this original home is a local landmark. “It’s always been known as the Greek House on Hedges; it’s like living in a shack on the Mediterranean coast right on the sea,” said Mr Mian.

Crystal Creek Park is an off-road attraction

The Ultimate 4WD Estate (530 Upper Crystal Creek Road, Upper Crystal Creek)

A 226 acre site with a council approved 4WD park and campsite. Purchased during the crisis as a private place for the owners’ children to grow up on the land, the renovated buildings feature off-road tracks, cabins, and spectacular views of Mount Warning. “It’s been their private space … they love it, but now life has taken a different turn,” Mr Mian said.

57-59 Monaco St, Broadbeach Waters

IQ House (57-59 Monaco Street, Broadbeach Waters)

Known as ‘Q House’, this spacious north-facing block offers great views of the skyline and beautiful gardens. “They tore down the original home to build something more elegant and beautiful with marble floors. With the beautiful trees, it feels like you’re in Toorak,” said Mr Mian.

25-27 Brakes Cres, Burleigh Heads

Burleigh double block (25-27 Brakes Crescent, Burleigh Heads)

A seemingly rare double block catch in one of the most used beach areas. “Coastal properties of this nature are rarely offered for marketing, making this a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” said Mr Mian.

29-31 Cessnock Cl, Mermaid Waters

Mermaid Waters Gold Class (27-31 Cessnock Cl, Mermaid Waters)

This huge waterfront home was renovated in an extravagant style by its owner Tianwei Li, son of billionaire developer Riyu Li, whose Ridong Group spearheaded the Jewel towers in Surfers Paradise. The property’s perks include a tennis court, pool, guest house and luxury French-inspired kitchen with marble floors, and a cinema like Gold Class experience.

The auction event will also feature large acre properties such as Tallai’s premier 510 The Panorama, as well as high-growth investment opportunities and luxury waterfront homes in Coomera Waters and Surfers Paradise.
