Hugh Jackman and Ex-Wife Deborra-Lee Furness Relist West Village Apartment for $29 Million as Actor’s Romance with Sutton Foster Rekindles

An actor Hugh Jackman posted the New York City apartment he shares with his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furnessis back on the market for a reduced price of $28.75 million, less than a year after the former couple finalized their divorce.
Between his ongoing romance with his former Broadway co-star Sutton FosterJackman, 57, is making another attempt to sell his longtime Manhattan home, which he and Furness, 70, bought for $21 million in 2008.
The couple first listed the five-bedroom unit for sale in June 2022—more than a year before they confirmed their separation—for a record high of $38.9 million, but it was taken off the market two months later.
Instead, the two voted for the property and offered the property as a rental, listing it for the highest price of $125,000 per month through September 2023, the same time they announced their separation.
Sources previously confirmed to Realtor.com® that the unit it was leased by a tenant, who was supposed to occupy the property until December 2026, although it appears that those plans have changed, as the unit appeared on the market on March 31, as first reported by the New York Post.

While the listing doesn’t say anything about the local celebrity owners, it points to the sellers’ desire to remain as private as possible, noting that there are “very limited showings” offered to prospective buyers.
Property records show the unit is still registered to the limited liability company that Jackman and Furness used when they bought the home in 2008. It is the same LLC they used to buy most of the houses they lived in during their marriage.
As part of their divorce settlement, the two have divested other properties in their portfolio, including a penthouse apartment on Eleventh Avenue, which they purchased for $21.12 million in 2022.
That unit was sold to an LLC linked exclusively to Furness at the same time the former couple’s divorce was finalized—for half of its $23 million price, suggesting he had paid his ex-spouse for half of his house.
It is not clear whether the two will split the proceeds from their future sales the rest Apartment, located in an excellent building on Perry Street and designed by a respected architect Richard Meier.
Described in its listing as a “modern masterpiece,” the triplex unit covers exactly 11,000 square feet and features a stunning double-height living room with walls of windows overlooking the Hudson River.
“The residence’s stunning architecture makes it one of the most stunning apartments in Manhattan,” the listing notes.
Each level in the three-story apartment has large entertainment areas, starting with the eighth floor, which includes a “grand lounge” and terrace, as well as a library that doubles as an additional guest room.
Four of the five large bedrooms in this unit are located on this floor and all have their own en-suite bathrooms.
Going up the unit’s special staircase, which connects all three floors, residents will find a “double-height great room,” as well as a den and lounge, a high-end kitchen, and a separate dining room.

The 10th floor is filled with the palatial primary suite, with its own spa-style bathroom, sauna, exercise room, two dressing rooms, and private terrace.
If the building’s future buyers fail to find enough amenities to entertain them in the unit itself, they need only head downstairs, where there is an array of options offered to the building’s well-heeled residents, including a “state-of-the-art fitness center,” and exclusive access to a celebrity chef. Jean-Georges Vongerichten‘s Perry St. Restaurant, located in the building.
In-room dining facilities provided by the restaurant are also available to those staying within the building.
The re-listing of the palace property comes amid Jackman’s ongoing romance with Foster, 51, who first sparked dating rumors after they starred in the Broadway version of “The Music Man,” which premiered in December 2021.
However, they didn’t officially confirm their relationship until Jackman and Furness announced their separation in September 2023, telling People in a statement that they “decided to separate in order to pursue their individual growth.”
We take this chapter with gratitude, love and kindness,” the statement continued.
Just a year later, it was revealed that Foster and her husband, Ted Griffinthey were also divorcing, about three months before she and Jackman confirmed their love.
In May 2025, Furness released an emotional statement about the divorce, speaking of the “betrayal” he experienced during their separation.
“My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has gone through the painful journey of betrayal,” he told the Daily Mail. “But I do believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guide, is always working for us.
“This belief has helped me to cope with the breakdown of a marriage of almost thirty years.”
