Pi Network’s PI Token Rebounds, Bitcoin (BTC) Keeps $66K: Weekend Watch
Meanwhile, SIREN has once again become the daily top performer, rising by double digits to $1.80.
Despite some warnings about more volatility over the weekend, the price of bitcoin actually remained low, trading above $66,000 for 36 hours or so now.
Most of the major alts have mimicked the performance of BTC, with little or no movement from the likes of ETH, XRP, SOL, and BNB.
BTC Stable at $66K
The main cryptocurrency spent last weekend on a high note, trading above $70,000 and close to $71,000. On Sunday it dropped the first leg after the recent rise on the US/Israel-Iran front at the time, and the bulls drove it south to $67,500 on Monday morning when the equity markets first opened.
BTC surged to around $72,000 later on Monday when US President Trump said they had reached a withdrawal agreement with Iran, but fell to $69,000 after the Middle Eastern country denied the claims. Still, the bulls persisted at the time, driving bitcoin to $72,000 on Wednesday morning.
Another rejection followed, and the end happened on Friday when the cryptocurrency dropped the 4-week low of $65,500, which led to more fear in the markets. It has managed to rally from that low in the area and remain above $66,000 since what turned out to be a cool weekend, defying some expectations.
However, its market capitalization is struggling at $1.330 trillion, and its dominance over alts is down to 56% in CG.
SIREN Goes Wild Again, PI Rebounds
SIREN continues to be the most volatile altcoin, posting another 13% surge in the last 24 hours and trading at $1.80. It rose as high as $3.60 earlier this week, before dropping to $1.00, but has been doing well for the past few days.
PI Network’s PI token has gained over 3% since yesterday, and is now trading around $0.18 after dipping below $0.175. The community here is expecting a major overhaul to be completed in the next week or so.
In contrast, ETH, XRP, SOL, and DOGE have slight losses, while TRX, BCH, XMR, HYPE, and BNB are slightly greener. RAIN is increasing more than 3% daily.
The total crypto market remains in the same place as yesterday, about 2.370 billion in CG.
