Kai Trump Lifts The Cover On His Life At Home With 24/7 Secret Service Protection—And What It’s Like To Date Armed Guards
The president Donald Trumpgrandson Why has opened up about how her life has changed since being re-elected in 2024 – revealing how she runs her day job and regularly meets with Secret Service agents.
The 18-year-old budding golf star, who is the daughter of Trump’s eldest son, Little Don.and his ex-wife,Vanessawill graduate from his Florida high school later this year, at which time he will attend the University of Miami, joining the school’s Division I golf team.
However, while that momentous event was still in front of him, the young man had had a very difficult year since his grandfather returned to the White House, which he explained in an extensive interview with him. Logan Paul on his “Impaulsive” podcast, where he covered everything from dating to politics.
Kai, who currently lives with his father and mother in Jupiter, FL, began by touching on how “weird” it is to go on days when he is being watched by members of the Secret Service, admitting that he found it “weird” to deal with.
While the teenager was given the same protection during his grandfather’s first term—and shortly after—he said things have improved significantly in the past year since he was inaugurated in January 2025.
“It’s a little weird,” she said. “I try in every way not to worry, especially last year since he was the president, I had to learn that yes they are following me but I focus on pretending they are not there.
“Obviously, they are. But if you can try not to focus on that and enjoy your time with your friends, your family, whatever, it makes it easier.
“Because in the first few months, it was difficult. It was not easy to have someone following you all the time. But once I said: ‘Their job is only to protect me. I will focus on my things and let them do their job.’ It made it so much easier.”
Kai also admitted that he has already decided to withdraw “completely” from politics, adding that there is no “bad blood” between him and his grandfather’s Democratic Alliance opponent, Kamala Harris.
“I don’t want anything that will connect me with politics because I feel that politics is dangerous,” he said.
Regarding his personal beliefs, Kai said he prefers a moderate approach to politics, explaining that he sees danger on both sides of the road that shows “strong” or “extreme” views.
“If the two sides came together, everyone would be very happy, and I think there are people on the left, there are people on the right, and there are a lot of people who are extreme,” he continued.
“And that’s where social media really comes together, because social media makes your Instagram or your feed different, and there aren’t many things on social media when you’re so average.”
Regarding Harris, he said there is no ill feeling towards him, he said the only division that exists is one political opponent competing with another.
“That kind of drives some people crazy, and some people buy into it a lot. I think that’s the best way to say it. There’s no bad blood. I’m very much in the middle. That’s what it is: They run at each other,” he said.
At the end of the podcast, Kai emphasized that his grandfather has no plans to run for the White House again, something he has said before.
“He is not running for a third term. Sadly, he is not. But who knows? A lot can happen until 2028,” he said.
Although Kai’s life may have changed due to his grandfather’s election victory, he has also previously admitted that he has been fortunate to enjoy many good things, including unparalleled access to the White House.
In a recent YouTube video, the avid golfer took his fans on a tour of some of his famous spots inside 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., revealing where he and his siblings live if they’re lucky enough to visit.
Kai was even allowed to use the White House grounds as a backdrop for a photo shoot where he promoted his new line of golf apparel, documenting the entire process on camera.
One of the first stops on the tour was the upper balcony of the White House, where Kai and his brother looked at the Washington Monument, where the young man told his viewers: “Look how beautiful it is.”
Kai then retreated to the bathroom to prepare for his photo shoot, admitting to the cameras that he was “passed out” after being “up all night.”
The brothers were then served a meal prepared by a chef in a private room of the White House, with Kai thanking the chefs for knowing that he “loves them. [her] grilled chicken.”
After filling up with gas, Kai met up with the staff to take pictures of him, before heading outside to check out the best spots—that’s when he remembered how he and Trump’s son had been.Barronnow 19 years old, he used to play football on the lawn outside the White House, revealing that they often tried to entice the Secret Service to join their games.
“Barron and I were playing football in this area, and we had the Secret Service, and we were trying to kick the ball to the Secret Service,” he recounted. “They couldn’t postpone it, but we will try to get them included.”
He added: “It was a long time ago. I actually think one time when I first came here, I broke my arm, and Barron and I played football out here.”
Then it was time for Kai to show off his golf skills on the putting green at the White House, which served as the perfect location for him to model his outfit.
Kai couldn’t help but mock his green grandfather’s condition, saying that the balls were moving “slowly” because he “didn’t get them out at all.”
He once suffered stage fright, joking as a cameraman snapped: “This is sad. The Secret Service is watching like, ‘What?’
Still, he expressed surprise at the opportunity he was given: “That’s great. Not many people can do that.”
