Actress Jennifer Esposito Breaks Down In Tears As She Reveals She Lost The Home She Borrowed To Finance ‘Fresh Kills’

An actress Jennifer Esposito He broke down in tears when he revealed that he was forced to leave the house he had borrowed to get his film “Fresh Kills” on the line.
The 52-year-old woman revealed that she had borrowed her vast property in 2024 after spending 15 years trying to make, write, star in and direct a film.
Now, Esposito admitted that even though he was finally able to release his film to the world, he is facing the consequences of putting his roof on the line.
In a recent post on Instagram, the director held back tears when he revealed that he no longer lives in the house he was holding.
“Yes, I look like— right now because I’ve been crying because I’m leaving my house that I borrowed to make my movie and now there are prominent people who can’t just throw someone and say, ‘Hey, watch this movie,'” he says in the clip.
“I thought to myself, ‘You know what? Nobody owes anybody anything.’ And I thought, ‘What? Are we human?’
“Maybe that’s why we’re in this problem right now where we are. I think we actually owe each other something. We owe each other dignity as human beings. That’s what we owe each other,” he said in the video.
The star wrote in his post, “Do we? We owe each other? Perhaps that one question is the one we should ask about all the problems we are facing right now. Forget the programs that keep us close together on purpose—and survival is now the basis of all events—I am speaking as a person.
“The basic human dignity of another living being. That’s all. Think about that. Imagine if we all had each other’s backs. Systems meant to divide may actually fall apart. And now feel free to scroll through the best new facelifts, journalist arrests and who else has been shot.”
In 2024, Esposito revealed that he was lending his house because he had faith in him.
“This city tells you what you can be and what you can’t be for so many years,” he told KTLA. “I was over it, and I thought, ‘Why am I asking the world to believe in me? I have to believe in myself.’

“So I’m going to put my money away. At the end of my life, will I be happy that my house is paid off? Or will I be so happy that I gave myself the opportunity I’ve been waiting for so long?”
He talked a lot about this film as he felt it was very important for him to follow his gut when it came to this project.
“It is the first time that the point of view of women in the mafia has been seen, and I am the first woman to enter this genre, which makes this even more difficult. But it was something that I thought needed to be told. Again, the film takes place in the mafia, but in fact it is about finding a voice in the world that tells you not to have it,” he added.
At that time, he admitted that people did not believe that he would succeed, adding that some even offered him cash to part with the project.
“I was offered $5 million if a man could direct it in my place.
The film premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival and the Red Sea International Film Festival. Now available to stream on Hulu.
“It’s been a long road. I’m very proud of it,” Esposito said.
