Celeste Barber and Api Robin recently settled into a beachside apartment
Aussie comedian Celeste Barber and husband Api Robin are set to build a lucrative beachside portfolio after splitting after two decades together.
Barber, 43, is known around the world for his sarcasm on social media, while Robin, 52, announced the split online, changing his Instagram bio to “Hot Husband”.
Barber, who has been calling him “Hot Husband” for a long time, is yet to make his own statement.
The split comes months after the couple settled into their dream apartment at Rockpool, a newly completed award-winning development overlooking Rainbow Bay in Coolangatta.

They bought the program in 2021 for about $3.8m and, according to local agents, could be worth about $6m if they chose to sell.
Pezet Matheson agent Mitchell Lambert, who recently sold a one-floor unit to former Aussie basketball captain Laura Geitz for $4.65m, said Barber and Robin’s apartment was on the popular side of the building with a view to pay for.
“It’s on the top side of the building in an incredible location overlooking Snapper Rocks with amazing views over the Norfolk pines, and you’ll see people like Mick Fanning surfing every day.”

Property features include spacious open-plan living and dining areas flanked by a luxurious marble kitchen, which opens onto a patio with a built-in barbecue.
Mr Lambert said the Joe Adsett-designed project had “become very popular in the area”, which he described as the “next best place” to invest.

Barber and Robin have also been active on the sales side, selling the former family home on the NSW Central Coast before the couple headed north.
A five-bedroom Long Jetty house sold for $1.045m in April 2025, nearly double what they paid a decade ago. It was rented from 2019 when they moved to Tweed.
The couple have two sons, Lou and Buddy, and Robin has two children from a previous marriage.
