$16.5 Million Gulf Coast Mansion Brings a Piece of Santorini to the Sunshine State

When you compare Florida and Santorini, the list of similarities usually starts and ends with sunshine and beaches. One is revered for its ancient ruins and whitewashed cliff dwellings, while the other is best known for Walt Disney World and flip-flops.

But at 56 Sea Castle Aly in Inlet Beach, these two worlds come together in a surprising way.

Listed at $16.5 million, the approximately 4,000-square-foot residence looks like it was plucked from the Greek islands and carefully placed along the Gulf Coast.

With a sculpted white façade, clean lines, and a surprising combination of light and shadow, the home channels the serenity of Santorini while remaining rooted in the forward-thinking ethos of Alys Beach.

The building represents a collaboration of heavy architecture: design by Khoury Vogt Architects, the creative architects behind Alys Beach, and interiors by Kate Marker Interiors, whose work has been featured in Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, and Luxe Interiors + Design.

The result is a home where everything comes together to live a luxurious life inspired by the Mediterranean.

“It’s a home where architecture itself becomes a luxury. Residences of this type, with this level of pedigree and Gulf view orientation in Alys Beach, are very limited,” said the listing agent. Brad Dahlerfounder of Dahler & Co. at Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty.

Conceived as a completely customized concrete residence, the home is built to last.

“The philosophy of Khoury Vogt Architects is focused on eternity, scale, and the emotional experience of space,” explains Dahler.

That sense of permanence is balanced by the layered experience of life.

A private courtyard pool creates an inward-facing sanctuary, while a rooftop terrace offers pristine views of the Gulf. Inside, Venetian cement walls, white oak millwork, and sculpted details create an atmosphere of calm and seriousness.

The kitchen serves as a functional hub, with decorative stone surfaces and matching cabinetry. A private elevator, multiple outdoor living areas, and well-designed living areas allow the residence to serve as a convenient retreat and a great meeting place.

The blocky palette and concrete exterior feel Mediterranean, yet perfectly suited to Florida’s Emerald Coast.

Like the homes of Santorini, the white exterior of the property was designed to serve a purpose beyond its aesthetic appeal, helping the residence to change with the changing light of the day.

“Some homes are admired from a distance. Others are heard with movement, light, and quiet moments that happen slowly over time,” the list says.

“And then there are homes that seem to breathe with you, changing slowly from morning to evening as if the architecture itself is alive.”

Beyond its walls, the Alys Beach community offers access to a private beach, luxury and fitness facilities, multiple pools, tennis courts, and a vibrant town center with dining and retail—all within a short walking distance.

“What makes this residence unique is its ownership and availability,” said Dahler. “This is not just a home, but an architectural asset—designed to endure physically and culturally for generations.”

Santorini may be thousands of kilometers away. But on this side of the Gulf Coast, the spirit of the Greek Islands is alive and well.
