$10.5 Million Mansion Inside Disney’s Elite Golden Oak Community Boasting Cartoon-Themed Rooms and a Replica of Walt’s Office

It’s close to living the kind of fairytale life depicted in Disney’s weirdest movies—but one beautiful mansion within Walt Disney World’s unique Golden Oak community will give one cartoon lover a chance to take one step closer to real magic.
Golden Oak is an upscale residential community located within the Walt Disney World park in Lake Buena Vista, FL, where homes are often designed with many nods to the company’s iconic movies.
Despite that backdrop, however, the residence at 10012 Hyperion Lane stands out as a beacon of Disney fandom.
Listed at $10.45 million by Chris Christensen again Julie Christensen of The Christensen Group/One Luxury International, the home was built in 2019 and has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. It features a decorative theme after popular Disney hits, including “The Little Mermaid” and “Snow White.”
It’s exactly the type of home that future residents are looking for when they start house hunting in Golden Oak, and Chris noted that the neighborhood he lives in tends to attract a certain buyer.

“They’re all Disney lovers. That community has the highest price per square foot of any community in Central Florida,” he said. “You pay a premium to stay there. You have to love Disney to pay the extra money.
“Maybe when they were kids, they went to Disney and now they’re successful business owners who have the ability to turn these into full-time residences or buy it as a second home and hold onto it for their family to use and visit for their Disney memories.”
Indeed, this home features a timeless nod to Disney. Some are immediately visible, while others are hidden, like in the kitchen.
“There’s a hidden Mickey in the mosaic right behind the kitchen,” said Chris. “At first glance, you just see gray tile, but if you really look at it, that’s Mickey in that picture.”
One of the bathtubs has a wallpaper depicting scenes from “The Little Mermaid”, and the other has a Mickey Mouse wallpaper, both very notable for Disney.
The home also has a replica of Walt DisneyAn office, which serves as a home office. Chris reveals that the space is “based on images” of a real-life office.
And, finally, there’s no denying the Disney influence in the “Seven Dwarfs”-themed guest casita, which has two entrances.
Chris says: “A casita can be found in two ways—either outside the main house and outside on the patio, or indoors, with a hidden bookshelf with a secret door.
Many rooms open onto the courtyard, where an outdoor pool awaits.

The property has had just two owners, and the only reason it is for sale is that the sellers are upgrading to another home in the Golden Oak community. Once people move to a popular place, they don’t want to leave.
During their ownership, the sellers expanded the space from 5,525 to 6,276 square feet. They added a bedroom and an indoor-outdoor space. What makes this home unique is that it is all on one level, while many others in Golden Oak are multi-story.
“As far as I know, it’s the only large home in that community on one level,” Chris said.
Because the lot is less than half an acre, there was room to build, instead of up, when the home was first built.
Homeowners at Golden Oak—there are less than 300 properties—have access to concierge services.
“If you’re in the community, you need to be a member of the private club (Summerhouse) and have access to a concierge who can help you with anything Disney-related, whether it’s restaurant reservations or park tickets or Disney tours,” Chris said. “They can even pick you up from your house and take you to the park and bring you home.”
The Summerhouse includes a restaurant, fitness center, and pool. Members can also access Four Seasons Resort Orlando restaurants and bars.
Another advantage? Life without a car.
“Many people in the community have electric golf courses,” said Chris. However, this home has a three-car garage.
Due to the special nature of the community, the houses cannot be rented out as short-term rentals as they do not have a suitable location.
“We’re definitely targeting a high-value consumer who has an appreciation and love for Disney,” Chris said.
