Late SeaChange actor Tom Long’s Melbourne home has been sold

The Clifton Hill house of the late SeaChange actor Tom Long has been sold before going under the hammer.


A Melbourne house linked to both ABC comedy drama Dog Park and the late SeaChange actor Tom Long has sold after being listed in the $4.3m-$4.5m range.

An Edwardian-era home in Clifton Hill served as the home of a couple portrayed by actors Leon Ford and Brooke Satchwell in Dog Park.

The final episode of the six-part series, which also starred Celia Pacquola, aired on February 1, 2026.

A few days later, Long’s widow, Rebecca Fleming, put the residence on the market.

Long, 51, died of encephalitis in 2020 following a long battle with blood cancer.

He rose to fame in Australia after playing surfer-loving law clerk Angus Kabiri in the hit TV series SeaChange.

The Clifton Hill house may be familiar to viewers of ABC’s Dog Park, as it was featured heavily in the show.

Long has also appeared in TV’s Young Lions and East of Everything, in addition to the movies The Book of Revelation, The Last of the Ryans, Heroes’ Mountain: The Thredbo Story, Black Jack: Ghosts, Doing Time for Patsy Cline, Do or Die, Risk, Joanne Lees: Murder in the Outback and Two Hands, the latter alongside actors Heath Byrneger and Bryan Brown.

In 2015, Ms Fleming and Long bought the house which they later renovated in a project led by interior designer Kim Kneipp.

The five-bedroom pad was due to be auctioned on Saturday, March 1, but sold the day before for an undisclosed price.

Features of this home include a country-style kitchen with European appliances, a living room with a bay window and mansard ceiling, and a blue-tiled bathroom featuring a claw foot bathtub and separate shower.

The kitchen faces the back, where there is a cedar-built sauna and a separate studio.

A clerestory window is among the features of the residence.


French doors lead to a paved area and landscaped garden containing a sauna, as well as a separate studio used for storage.

The upper floor has a bedroom, an ensuite and a balcony overlooking the green area.
